Inspiration from Ghengis Khan

At the start of every training we recite a series of old Korean poems about the meaning of taekwondo, courtesy, the true athlete, etc. This one, by no one less than Ghengis Khan, is definitely my favorite:

You shall not complain – Ghengis Khan
(탓하지 말라 – 칭기스칸 translated by Mattho Mandersloot)

You shall not complain that you derive from unworthy parents
You shall not complain that you are poor
You shall not complain that you were born in a small country
You shall not complain that you are unskilled
You shall not give up easily, when the situation seems hopeless
You shall not mention that you would rather give up
You shall not seek your enemy outside but inside you
You shall dismantle and overcome all obstacles

In this way I became Ghengis Khan
