About Mattho

Mattho Mandersloot, also known as ‘Het Schaap met de Zwarte Band’ (Black Belt Sheep), has been practicing taekwondo for over 11 years. He graduated with honours from the Barlaeus Gymnasium in 2012 and ever since he has focused solely on taekwondo. After 10 years of training under master Bob Poublon (5th Dan) in his gym ‘American Fitness’, he set off to Seoul, South-Korea, in November 2012. From that moment onwards he has been under patronage of grandmaster Kang Shinchul (9th Dan). Among other prizes he has won the silver medal at the Dutch National Poomsae Championships 2013. On European level he has won a bronze medal at the Czech Open Poomsae 2013 (ETU A-Class). Since February 2014 he has been member of the Dutch National Poomsae Team. He will continue his education in September 2014, studying Classics at King’s College London.
